Tube preamplifier with an external power supply and phono MM/MC input. The HP 500 SE preamp with global feedback uses a single ECC82 triode in the input stage and a pair of Siemens D3A/EF184 pentodes in the class A output stage. This unit with phono board towards the rear panel gains an additional three valves: 1 x 12AX7/ECC83, 1 x 12AT7/ECC81, 1 x 6922/ECC88. Soft-start power management extends tube life expectancy up to a claimed 10 years and the power supply is fully regulated with MOSFET transistors, rectified by Schottky diodes and offers a residual noise floor of 300µV. Includes a switchable subsonic filter and is optimized for low-output cartridges. The SE version was limited to a production run of 100 units per country. Specifications: Tube complement: above mentioned. (6) RCA Inputs: (2) phono option (MM/MC), CD, Tuner, Aux and Tape in. (4) Outputs: (2) Single-ended (RCA), (1) Balanced (XLR) and (1) Tape out. Gain high/low: 17,5/9,5 dB, Frequency response: 3 Hz - 500 kHz 1,5 dB, S/N ratio high/low gain: 92 /103 dB, Input Impedance 100 kOhm, Output Impedance 100 Ohm (RCA) and 2 x 50 Ohm (XLR), THD: 0,001%. Phono MM: Input Impedance: 47kOhm // 130 pF, Input Sensitivity: 3 mV. Phono MC: Input Impedance: 37-500 Ohm, Input Sensitivity: 0,1 mV |
