Dual-mono power amplifier. The No.432 shares the circuit topology of the former company’s flagship No.33H monoblocks. The unit features a massive power supply with separate toroidal transformers for each channel. The DC-servo’d input and driver stages are fully balanced. This power amplifier employs Arlon circuit boards. The No.432 presents a wonderful impression of space, depth, and dimensionality. It also combines brute-force output power with remarkable delicacy and resolution, and embodies the company’s aesthetic of subtlety in presentation. Specifications: (2) Inputs: 1 x Balanced (XLR) and 1 x Single-ended (RCA). Power Output: 400 Watts into 8 Ohms, 800 Watts into 4 Ohms. Voltage gain: 26.8dB. Input impedance: 100KOhm (balanced); 50KOhm (unbalanced). Input sensitivity: 2.83V output: 130 mV. Output impedance: less than 0.02Ohm from 20-20KHz. Damping Factor: greater than 400, 20-20KHz @ 8Ohm. Spades only. Remarks: a) Fitted with new circuit boards in 2011; b) Signs of wear such as two minor dents on the back of the top panel and worn left corner. |
