The 909 MK5 is the largest power amplifier in Burmester’s portfolio and one of the most powerful audio amps in the world. Like all Burmester power amplifiers is constructed in a symmetrical way and is entirely DC-coupled. With an extremely high damping factor, a wide class-A range and the ability to deliver huge currents the 909 effortlessly controls any speaker-Even speakers with very low impedance. A mono adapter bridge makes it easy to expand an existing system by adding a second amplifier. It handles bass lines with superb control even at the highest volume levels and its sound is warm and detailed. Specifications: Power output: Stereo: 350W into 8 ohms, 600W into 4 ohms and 1250W into 1 ohm; Mono: 1930 W into 4 ohms and 3200W into 1 ohm. Continuous peak current: 65 A. Damping factor: > 1000. Input impedance XLR/RCA: 1.7 kOhm/5.7 kOhm. Input sensitivity (1 V): 1.1 V. S/N ratio: > 105 dB. Gain: 36.5 dB. 20 selected power transistors per channel. Over-dimensioned power supply with 160.000 uF filtering and a 3,5 kW toroidal transformer. Inputs: (1) XLR.
