A breed of integrated amplifier that takes the word integration very seriously, the 80i is a true “hub” integrated, enriched with an abundance of inputs to support three generations of formats, specifically a phono stage for moving-magnet cartridges, an input for a CD player, optical and transformer coupled coaxial digital inputs for other digital sources, and an upsampling asynchronous USB DAC for music stored on a computer. 80i uses ESS Technology's Reference Sabre ES9006 DAC. It has a class A/B amplifier with a massive high-current toroidal power supply, and features MOSFET output devices. The Audiant 80i reproduces music with a sense of ease and honesty, and it is essentially neutral and with a percussive attack.
