D/A processor with four selectable oversampling algorithms for PCM playback (Two Finite Impulse Response filters: FIR kurz, FIR lang and two Bézier interpolations: Bézier, Bézier/IIR) and Direct DSD Signal Path via T+A True 1-bit converter. It is manufactured to a high standard in both aesthetics and materials. The 8 can act as a preamplifier with digital volume control and does have a headphone jack (volume control defeat is a switch on the back panel to ‘‘LINE’). Specifications: D/A – converter: PCM: Double-Differential-Quadruple-Converter, four 32 Bit D/A-converters from Burr-Brown per channel. (2) Analog outputs: high level (RCA), 2.5V with 22 ohms output impedance; balanced (XLR), 5.0V with 44 ohms output impedance. (7) Digital inputs: 4 x S/PDIF coaxial, 1 x optical TOS-Link, 1 x BNC, 1 x AES/EBU, all handling 16/24-bit data at sample rates from 32kHz to 192kHz. (1) USB (Device mode): USB Class 2 Mode; support for asynchronous data transfer; PCM Mode, 16/24/32-bit data with sample rates from 44.1kHz to 384kHz; DSD Mode, DSD64, DSD128, DSD256, DSD512 (Mac OS up to DSD128). Digital output: 1 x coax, IEC 60958 (CDDA/LPCM). Other inputs: Ethernet jack for "future extensions" and a Ctrl (control) interface for use in combination with Crestron- or AMX-type home-automation systems. Analog filter (“wide" button): phase-linear filter with bandwidth switching at 60 or 120kHz for DSD. Phase button. |
